About Me

My name is Kelvin Gary and I’m a New York City based Personal Trainer.  After being in the corporate world for several years, I decided that being behind a desk or a conference room table wasn’t my true calling.  Two of my biggest passions are working with people in a positive, meaningful and productive way and fitness.  With that in mind and my personal training certifications already in hand I decided to trade in my button up shirts and dress slacks for gym pants and tee shirts.

Now my goal is to use my technical background, knowledge of fitness and love for working with people, to help motivate, educate and inspire as many people as possible to live a healthier life.  I specifically want people to think about what they’re doing, how they’re doing things and why they do things when it comes to fitness.

I’m a graduate of the University of Miami (FL) where I double majored in engineering.  Although I’m no longer an engineer, I now apply my analytical mindset learned through engineering to the human body.

I pretty much love all things fitness but if I had to pick I would have to say that my favorite tools would be kettlebells and my favorite activity would be cycling.  When the weather’s nice I’ve been known go out for a quick 30 to 50 mile ride for fun.  I also participate in both the Livestrong Challenge (a 1-day, 100 mile bike ride to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation) and the Bike MS City to Shore Ride (a 2-day 175 mile ride to raise money for the National MS Foundation).

I hope you enjoy my post and I look forward to helping each reader live a healthier life!
